Employability

Employability skills are essential skills, personal qualities and values that enable you to thrive in the workplace.

Having good employability skills will make you more attractive to employers and will support you in being successful in your chosen career path.

Universities and employers will want to know the skills and personal attributes you have and will expect you to give examples of how you may use them in a range of situations.

Do you already possess some employability skills?:  communication, teamwork, resilience, problem solving, organisation, leadership, confidence, self-management, computing/technology and decision making.

Yes to some, no to others? Not to worry, all of these skills can be developed and improved. Your teacher and SPDL are here to help you develop these skills through curriculum learning, tutorials and the careers programme.
