Pennine Educational Partnership comes together to support student success
Today, leaders from Ashton Sixth Form College, Oldham Sixth Form College, and Rochdale Sixth Form College came together as part of the Pennine Educational Partnership, strengthening a shared commitment to improving outcomes for the young people of the region. Through collaborative discussions focused on SEND provision, safeguarding, and the progress of high-achieving students, the partnership demonstrated the power of collective responsibility in addressing the opportunities and challenges facing our communities.
United by common values and a deep understanding of the socioeconomic context in which many of our students live, the three colleges recognise that educational success is about far more than academic achievement alone. By sharing expertise, best practice and innovative approaches, the partnership is working to ensure that every young person, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to the support, opportunities and ambition needed to thrive.
This collaboration reflects a shared belief that education is a powerful driver of social mobility. By working together to strengthen safeguarding arrangements, enhance support for students with additional needs, and maximise the potential of the most able learners, the Pennine Educational Partnership is helping to remove barriers, raise aspirations and expand life chances. Collectively, the three colleges are committed to ensuring that all young people can realise their potential and progress confidently to higher education, skilled employment, and fulfilling futures.
Through collaboration rather than competition, the partnership continues to build a stronger educational landscape across the Pennines, placing young people at the heart of every discussion and decision. The ultimate goal is clear: to transform lives, strengthen communities, and create greater opportunities for the next generation.
