Film & Media Studies London Trip

Students took part in an exciting two-day Film and Media Studies trip to London, filled with immersive and educational opportunities. The visit began with a practical genre workshop at the renowned Pinewood Studios, where students examined the conventions of various film genres within a professional studio environment. That evening, they were treated to Back to the Future: The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre — a dazzling fusion of cinematic nostalgia and live performance.

On day two, students embarked on a dynamic Film and Television Tour across London, exploring iconic filming locations from blockbusters including Mission Impossible, Paddington, Harry Potter, Mary Poppins, and Bridget Jones’s Diary. The trip concluded at The Cinema Museum, where students explored the rich history and cultural impact of film. The experience offered both inspiration and valuable insight into the world of Film and Media.
