Summer Art Competition 2022

The art, and the artist.

Every summer we invite students from RSFC to join our annual art competition. For 2022, the theme was Identity and Adversity. Students were asked to explore feelings of displacement and rebellion.

The submissions were judged on creative detail and the ability to tell a compelling story. After much deliberation from judge and metal artist Mick Kirkby-Gedes, we were thrilled to announce that first place was awarded to Aisha Siddiqa.

Mick commented “The piece told me the whole story in one visual image. This powerful, striking, emotionally evocative image deftly articulates the vulnerability of, particularly younger, generations facing our global climate emergency.”
