A Valuable Experience for Rochdale’s Young Creatives

A vibrant group of enthusiastic students from the college travelled to the annual UCAS Create Your Future exhibition, joining thousands of aspiring creatives from across the UK. The large-scale event, aimed at students interested in art, design, media, performing arts, fashion, and digital innovation, is one of the country’s leading showcases for pathways into the rapidly expanding creative industries.

Held at the Manchester Central Convention Centre, Create Your Future brought together an impressive mix of universities, specialist arts institutions, colleges, and industry-focused training providers. Throughout the day, students explored a packed programme of interactive workshops, live performances, portfolio support sessions, and hands-on demonstrations. Representatives from creative sectors, including film production, game design, music technology, animation, architecture, and fashion, were on hand to offer tailored advice, explain entry routes, and share real-world insights into careers within the creative economy.
