During Work Experience Week, students took part in a range of employer-led projects that offered valuable insight into different industries and workplaces. Employers delivered workshops, set real-world challenges, and shared sector expertise, helping students to develop key employability skills including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and professional presentation.

Students worked collaboratively on project briefs, researched industry topics, and developed solutions before presenting their ideas to employer representatives. They received constructive feedback, helping them to better understand workplace expectations and standards, while building confidence and career awareness.

Alongside this, a number of students completed external work placements with local and regional employers, gaining hands-on experience in real working environments. These placements supported the development of industry-specific skills, workplace understanding, and professional networks, with employers praising students’ engagement and professionalism.

Overall, the week strengthened links with employers and provided meaningful experiences that enhanced students’ readiness for future employment, apprenticeships, and further study.
