It was great to recently welcome back three former MFL students to RSFC. Kenza, Maisie, and Martha delivered a very insightful talk to our MFL scholars, explaining what it is like studying a foreign language in Paris and at Cambridge University.

Kenza is a 1st-year student at The University of London in Paris, studying French. Martha is a 2nd-year student at The University of Cambridge, studying French and Italian Abinitio. Maisie is a 3rd-year student student at The University of London in Paris, studying French.

The former students explained the process of how they got their places at university and how to write a personal statement. They discussed the content of their courses and the jump from college to university and what their main challenges were. They gave students a really good insight as to what studying languages at university was like.

Our lovely alumni also answered any of the scholars' questions.

"The alumni visit allowed me to further my understanding of what studying French at university is like. The students answered any questions that I had and gave me the opportunity to learn more about the process of applying to university. It gave me an insight into what my future could hold."

Iqra B - scholar student

"It was so lovely to see our past students thriving at university and doing courses they clearly love and enjoy. Their talk was very informative and beneficial for our current students considering taking the same pathways. They were very enthusiastic about their experiences, and I hope they have inspired our current students!"

Pauline Duffy - subject leader of Modern Foreign Languages

Massive thanks to Kenza, Maisie, and Martha.
