Sam Mongan

Student Performance Development Leader

Sam Mongan

Sam started her teaching career at Matthew Moss High School where she taught Geography. Moving to Woodhey High School, Sam continued to teach Geography, laterally also becoming the PSHE and Careers Coordinator. It was this role that confirmed her passion for supporting pupils pastorally and the importance of career education in assisting students to reflect on their ambitions, interests, strengths and academic abilities. Sam moved to RSFC in September 2021 to take up the role of SPDL, where she can continue to support and work with young people to ensure they achieve their full potential during their time at college. Outside of college, Sam is mum to two boys who play a whole manner of sports. In addition to supporting them in their outdoor pursuits she can also be found walking in the countryside with her dog, indulging her Geography roots.
